Aim of the Program
The aim of this program is to create a culture of excellence in preaching through learning fresh skills, careful reflection on the theory and practice of preaching, and stimulating interaction with other preachers.
The program will seek to root our practice of preaching in Scripture, viewing scriptural models of preaching as a guide to both what to preach and how to preach. During this 2 year program there will be 8 weekend seminars on campus and monthly small/cluster group meetings in between the seminars.
The program is aimed at pastors and church leaders with a potential in preaching.
Study Process
A classroom session/course takes place approximately once every 3 months on a Friday night and a full day Saturday on a particular aspect of preaching on the main LBC campus in Riga. There is a total of 8 seminars throughout the program.
You can view the academic schedule here.
All courses are recorded so that those who cannot join the course in person or online can watch it, and it’s a great option for watching the course again.
At the end of the program, students are required to prepare and present a sermon.
