TERMS USED IN INTERNET SITE PRIVACY POLICY

– GDPR – Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals regarding the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).

– Personal data: any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable natural person shall be one that can be identified directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier in particular, i.e. that person’s given name, surname, identification number, location data, online identifier or one or more of the physical characteristics, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity factors.

– Processing of personal data: any activity or set of activities carried out with or without automated means with or without personal data, such as the collection, registration, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or modification, recovery, viewing, use, disclosure, sending, disseminating or otherwise making them available; harmonizing or combining, containing, erasing or destructing.

– Controller: a natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of processing personal data.

– Processor: natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body processing Personal Data on behalf of the controller.

– The data subject: a natural person identified or identifiable directly or indirectly – visitors and users of the Internet site www.bible.lv.

 

LEGAL BASIS FOR THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Latvian Biblical Centre shall process Personal Data on the basis of the following legal bases referred to in Article 6 of the GDPR:

Conclusion and performance of the contract — in order to ensure the processing of the applications or particulars received; the conclusion of the contract and the subsequent sale of the production.

Legitimate interests – in order to ensure the protection of the rights and interests of data subjects, or to implement the legitimate interest to carry out direct marketing activities, to provide answers to data subjects’ information requests or complaints.

For the fulfillment of legal duties – in order to fulfill the legal obligations imposed on it in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia and the EU in force, in relation to itself, the authorities of the data subject, state and local government, as well as third parties, such as drawing up and concluding documents corresponding to the requirements specified by law, invoices complying with the requirements for the provision of services;

Consent – in certain cases, the processing of personal data by data subjects may be carried out with free and unambiguous consent. Such consent may be requested by the Data Subject to provide other data processing activities, if this is necessary to achieve legitimate objectives and does not threaten the customer’s rights and freedoms, such as the deployment of cookies and the analysis of visits related to the Internet site.

The purpose of processing personal data is to organize the training process, register students (listeners), to inform participants about the educational events, about possible changes in the educational process, as well as to present this process on social networks and other communication channels using photo, audio and video materials taken during the events. The information is collected for communication and publicity purposes, as well as for the evaluation and development of the target audience of the events organized.

The data subject has the right to contact the “Latvian Biblical Centre” Foundation and request access to his/her personal data in order to correct or delete inaccurate personal data by submitting a justified enquiry.  Data subjects/owners can also file a motion to restrict the processing of personal data in the cases stipulated by the regulatory enactments, as well as to object to the processing, or to file a complaint with the State Data Inspection Authority about the violations committed in the processing of his/her personal data. The Latvian Biblical Centre Foundation has implemented technical and organizational measures to ensure that the personal data processed on the websites remains protected using the highest possible level of security. The purpose of video surveillance – monitoring order on premises and those  subject to video surveillance in order to ensure safety of employees and visitors, protection of property; prevention and detection of unlawful acts.

Legal basis for processing personal data – Article 6(1)(f) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation): processing is necessary for the pursuit of legitimate interests of the controller or of a third party.

Recipients of personal data – personal data obtained as a result of video surveillance may be disclosed to law enforcement authorities in accordance with the procedure laid down by law.

Transfer of personal data – personal data obtained as a result of video surveillance shall not be transferred to third parties.

Retention period of personal data – CCTV recordings shall be kept for 30 days from the date of their creation. Once this period is expired, the CCTV recording shall be deleted immediately in chronological order. If, within that period, signs of an unlawful offense are detected or a request is received for the provision of the data shown in the CCTV recording, the data shall be stored until the necessary action has been completed.
